How We'll Convert Your Photo into an Elegant Oil Painting
From just a simple photo that customer
is giving us , one of our experienced
Sri Lankan artist named Etnis will show
you the process on how to transform it
into an elegant painting.
THE PAINTING PROCESS
Step One – Sketching.the Image
Etnis projects the image in a blank
streched canvas by using a simple
projector. Then he uses an ordinary
pencil to sketch the primary outline
of the image. In this way he may get
the accurate symmetry of every object
in the photo.
Step 2 - Painting the Undercoating
Starting with the larger brushes, he
begins to apply paint to the canvas.
following the pencil outline, he paints
the basic background, shapes and
colors,.
Step 3 – Creating the Forms
This is where he begins building forms
of objects and play with suitable
color relationships. He paints in light
and dark values of colors, building up
or reducing the hue intensity to create
depth. After each stage the paint
needs to dry before he can move
forward.
Step 4 – Adding Textures
Here, by using different brush sizes
and types, by utilizing different
techniques, or by just using more or
less paint on the brush, he adds the
textures, character and unique
features of the painting.
Step 5- Adding details, shadows
& highlights
By deftly adding color or shading to
the painting, he can make sure that
each object in the painting has
detailed compatible color tones. Here,
experience contributes a lot,
Step 7- Emailing The Photo
After we’ve finished the painting, we
aren’t done yet. We will e mail to you
the photo of the painting and make
any changes that you may request.
Only upon your final approval is the
painting transferred to our packing
department for delivery..
Step 8 - Framing & Packing The Painting
In order to protect your delicate paintings,
each is covered with a protective sheet
and then rolled into a strong plastic tube.
If you had ordered it stretched and framed,
it is sent to our framing facility so it will
arrive to you ready to hang on your wall.
Step 6- Finishing Touches
Then by using a small brush, he'll
apply the finishing stroke of paints on
every inch of the image until he feels
that every inch of the whole painting
is complete.
